A First for Alabama: ASCTE Scores coveted #2 spot at National Scholars Bowl Competition - Quad Cities Daily

HUNTSVILLE-ASCTE Scholars’ Bowl team placed 2nd in the open division of the Small Schools National Championship Tournament (SSNCT), hosted by the National Academic Quiz Tournament (NAQT) in Rosemont, IL. The team’s outstanding performance is the best showing ever by an Alabama team at a national tournament hosted by NAQT.

Fifty-five schools participated in the SSNCT, including schools from 23 different states. The open division is designated for small high schools with selective enrollment. Des

ASCTE is one of three residential, public magnet high schools serving students in Alabama and is the only public high school nationwide to offer this program.
